The School of Film Directing is a part of the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts at the University of Gothenburg, which is the biggest faculty of the arts in the Nordic countries. Seen from an international perspective, this faculty has a unique breadth in that it offers a wide spectrum of programmes and activities, including artistic development work and artistic research. There are eight schools/units at our faculty. The faculty is led by the Faculty Board, which is chaired by Anna Lindal, our Dean.
The Head of the School of Film Directing is Gunilla Burstedt. She has appointed a departmental board to support her in the strategic management of the school. This board consists of members chosen from among the staff and the students at the School of Film Directing. Questions regarding strategic matters, policies, general financial matters and certain personnel matters are dealt with here.
The student’s union is responsible for how the students can participate in the work of the School of Film Directing.
